Course
The 2023 route starts and ends at the Living Inca City of Ollantaytambo, in the heart of the Sacred Valley at 2,800 meters above sea level. An architectural jewel on the way to Machu Picchu, with more than 3,500 years old. Located 2 hours from the Imperial city of Cusco.
The town of Ollantaytambo was a strategic military, religious and agricultural center surrounded by terraces and ruins, with buildings over four meters high. It is a wonderful place that surrounds you with magic and mystery. Ollantaytamo is the only peruvian living inca town.
The town it is like a village, all the hotels are within walking distance and the gastronomy is wonderful, with warm and friendly people who will make you live a unique experience full of culture and sports.
Long & Medium Course
LONG COURSE IS A COMPETITION: Only the finishers of the long course are eligible for category rankings and Overall and Podium awards. If you want to race and be ranked in your category, you must complete the long course. Top 10% of finishers in each age group earn a spot in the Qualifier Corral at every GFNY World event.
MEDIUM COURSE IS NOT A COMPETITION: The riders of the medium course will be provided their start-to-finish time, but will not be ranked by finish time. All finish times will be listed in alphabetical order.
